Kesha and Dr. Luke trade barbs in unsealed court docs

Music producer Dr. Luke claims singer Kesha cost him $38 million after her team plotted to “ruin” his career by falsely accusing him of sexual assault — while Kesha counters that his reputation among female artists was already so terrible that stars like Kelly Clarkson regard him as a “bully” with a “Napoleon complex.”

The two traded barbs in newly unsealed court filings ahead of their upcoming trial. Kesha sued Luke for allegedly drugging and raping her in 2008 and Luke— denying the claims sued his former protege for defamation.

The Manhattan Supreme Court documents include a report by Luke’s CPA who opines that Kesha’s rape claims cost him $38 million in royalties.

Luke’s deposition was also unsealed– revealing that Katy Perry told him she wouldn’t work with him because of the Kesha controversy. Luke insists the “true story” is that Kesha wanted a better contract so her team conspired to “take down his business.”

Meanwhile Kesha’s side has released statements from fellow artists like Clarkson, Avril Lavigne and Pink who say their unwillingness to collaborate with Luke had nothing to do with her.

“Whether or not Dr. Luke [sexually and verbally abused Kesha], this is his karma and he earned it,” Clarkson testified in a deposition.

“He’s not a good person. I have told him that to his face and I don’t work with him,” she said. She also called Luke is “kind of a bully and demeaning…kind of like the Napoleon complex.”
