Holly Willoughby's This Morning statement
Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona, 42, has called for This Morning to be “revamped”, suggesting that the ITV show has been “tarnished” by toxicity claims.
The claims come after former show presenter Phillip Schofield, 61, departed the show following reports of a growing rift between himself and ex-co-host Holly Willoughby, 42.
Shortly afterwards, Phillip stepped down from ITV altogether due to the bombshell revelation that he had an affair with a much younger colleague while still married to his wife Stephanie Lowe.
ITV released a statement saying they were “deeply disappointed” by Phillip’s “admission of deceit” and said they were conducting an investigation into what had happened.
Meanwhile, Phillip apologised to everyone he lied to, describing his actions as “unwise, but not illegal”.
Kerry, who is a columnist for new, has stated she believes things need to change at This Morning.
As reported by OK! Magazine, she said: “They need to revamp the show. It’s tarnished and tainted and it’s sh***
“All these new relationships with Alison Hammond and Josie Gibson are just not believable.”
Holly also left some viewers cringing on Monday last week, as she returned to our screens to issue a statement on Phillip’s exit, which proved divisive.

During the speech, she asked viewers if they were “ok” and said she felt “shaken, troubled and let down”.
Kerry continued: “I thought Holly’s speech about Phil on This Morning last week was an absolute load of sh***. It was awful.
“I felt it was so staged, so rehearsed, so heartless, so soulless. People want realness. No one believes Holly any more.
“I’d have more respect for her if she left This Morning and Dancing On Ice and said, ‘Do you know what, it’s time for me to walk away.’

“I have nothing against her at all, but as a viewer, I just don’t think it’s working any more. If it was up to me, I’d like Amanda Holden and Rylan to present it.”
Her comments come after Kerry’s claim last week that ITV failed to ask her if she “needed a doctor or any help” after her 2008 appearance on the sofa, where she was clearly troubled.
Express.co.uk has contacted ITV and Holly’s representatives for comment.
