Yay! Keira Knightley and her husband James Righton have welcomed their second child to the world, with the delighted parents seen out for a stroll with the newborn on Friday

Having a giggle: Keira appeared to be taking it all in her stride as she laughed her head off during the walk

The couple married in France in May 2013 and welcomed their first child, daughter Edie, in 2015.

During their outing, Keira and James looked every inch the happy family as they strolled along with the actress looking radiant in a simple black smock dress with a pair of stylish Gucci heels.

Proving herself to be very much on mummy duty, she clutched on to a blue dummy and was boasting the fabled new mum glow thanks to her make-up free look.

In January, Keira spoke about the challenges of motherhood and of juggling her career with caring for her daughter. She told Balance magazine: ‘I don’t think we give women enough credit for the physical and emotional marathon they go through when becoming a mother.’

Sharing is caring: Keira gazed lovingly at her man as they enjoyed their walk in the sunshine

‘I come from a place of amazing privilege. I have an incredible support system; I’ve been unbelievably lucky in my career; I can afford good childcare, and yet I still find it really f***ing difficult.’

She added: ‘It’s OK to say that. It doesn’t mean I don’t love my kid, it’s just me admitting that the sleep deprivation, the hormonal changes, the shift in relationship with my partner, are all things that make me feel as if I’m failing on a daily basis. I have to remind myself that I haven’t failed, I’m just doing what I can do, but it’s not easy.’

In October last year, Keira lamented the pressure on new mothers to look immaculate after giving birth in a candid account of motherhood.

Last outing! Keira was spotted out and about in London last month while showing off her ever-growing bump as she reached the end of her pregnancy (pictured left, on August 19, and right, August 21)

The actress wrote about the ‘vomit, the blood, the stitches’ as she went into labour in May 2015, just a day before the Duchess of Cambridge welcomed Princess Charlotte into the world.

Kate famously left hospital just seven hours after being admitted to the Lindo Wing with both Charlotte and Louis in April, sparking a fierce debate on post-baby bodies.

In her essay, The Weaker Sex, the Pirates of the Caribbean star contrasted Kate’s experience with her own, noting how the Duchess ‘was out of hospital seven hours later with her face made up and high heels on’.

Lovely to see: The couple appeared super close as they walked side by side in their black ensembles

Love: It’s clear to see that the couple are still very much in love with one another and continued to hold hands

She described childbirth as a battleground, and said women are encouraged to ‘hide their pain’. She wrote: ‘My vagina split. You came out with your eyes open. Arms up in the air. Screaming. They put you on to me, covered in blood, vernix, your head misshapen from the birth canal. Pulsating, gasping, screaming.’

Writing about the first time she breastfed her daughter, the actress says: ‘You latched on to my breast immediately, hungrily, I remember the pain. The mouth clenched tight around my nipple, light sucking on and sucking out.

‘I remember the s***, the vomit, the blood, the stitches. I remember my battleground. Your battleground and life pulsating. Surviving. And I am the weaker sex? You are?’

Floral fancy: She held on to a bunch of flowers while placing a protective hand on the tiny buggy

Taking it all in their stride: No doubt the couple are adjusting to having sleepless nights once again but aside from dark sunglasses, there was no sign of any fatigue

Sweet addition: The couple had opted for a small blue pram for their new bundle of joy

Lots on her mind: Keira had a pensive expression on her face during the walk
