She’s newly single after splitting from Jamie Foxx following a six-year romance.
And now Katie Holmes is heading to Australian to take on a surprising new gig for a charity.
The 40-year-old will with the 2019 Ambassador for McHappy Day, and travel to Australia in November, with the charity event slated for the 16th.

‘I’m proud to be named the 2019 Ambassador for McHappy Day and I’m really looking forward to being in Australia for this important event,’ the actress said in a statement to news.com.au.
‘McHappy Day raises funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities, ultimately helping to keep families together while their sick or injured child undergoes treatment.
‘I can only imagine how much that helps the child and reduces the impact on the family unit.’

The annual fundraiser is run by McDonald’s and last year raised an amazing $4.9m for Ronald McDonald House Charites Australia.
It comes after it was revealed that Katie split from long-term boyfriend Jamie Foxx.
Although the breakup reports only really took off in mid-August, Page Six reported Katie told friends in a restaurant recently that ‘we haven’t been together for months’.

Katie and Jamie’s last public appearance as a couple was a glamorous jaunt to the Met Gala in May.
The ex couple went public as a couple in late 2017, though there had been speculation they were an item since four years earlier.
Katie is mother 13-year-old daughter Suri, whom she shares with her ex-husband Tom Cruise.
