Kate Middleton's Festive Red Cardigan Is a Lesson in Holiday Dressing

Kate Middleton is proving once again that she has the perfect outfit for literally any occasion in the ITV trailer for the Royal Christmas special, Royal Carols: Together At Christmas.

In the short clip, the Duchess of Cambridge says that she's "so excited to be hosting Together at Christmas here at Westminster Abbey" while wearing a festive cardigan. Kate's chic Miu Miu sweater had a white collar, as well as rose design details and crystal buttons down the front. Her caramel locks were worn in glossy waves and she accessorized with simple drop earrings.

For the actual event, which was taped on Dec. 8, the duchess wore a red midi dress and a pair of Queen Elizabeth's earrings, according to People. This was Kate's first time hosting the event which will pay tribute to individuals and organizations across the U.K. who have provided supported during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The Christmas Eve concert will feature readings, carols, and performances from a star-studded lineup that includes Leona Lewis, Ellie Goulding  and Tom Walker. The event was previously set to air on BBC until their documentary The Princes and the Press aired. The palace released a statement ahead of the documentary's release. "A free, responsible and open press is of vital importance to a healthy democracy," the statement read. "However, too often it is overblown and unfounded claims from unnamed sources that are presented as facts and it is disappointing when anyone, including the BBC, gives them credibility."
