‘Don’t be fooled – everyone has their struggles’: Kate Ferdinand offers advice to fans about difficulties at Christmas… after arriving home from lavish Maldives getaway
Kate Ferdinand has offered sage advice to her followers who may be struggling this Christmas after flying back to England following a luxury trip to the Maldives.
The former TOWIE star, 30, who is married to footballer Rio, took to Instagram to share words of wisdom on her Blended page – a ‘place for blended families’.
The star set up the platform in a bid to help like-minded parents in similar situations to her own, after experiencing the struggles of adjusting to life as a step-mum.
Kate shares son Cree, 12 months, with Rio, and is step-mum to Lorenz, 15, Tate, 13, and Tia, 10 – who the footballer shares with his late wife Rebecca Ellison.
Words of advice: Kate Ferdinand has offered some sage advice to her followers who may be struggling this Christmas
She began: ‘Christmas is hard, holidays are hard when everything isn’t how you want it to be. If you’re having to share your children with your partner, you’re on your own, you’ve lost someone and you’re really missing them.
‘There are so many reasons why Christmas can be difficult and when you look on social media it can often look perfect. Please don’t be fooled because everyone has their struggles. They just might not all share them.’
She continued on to say that people should be able to do what ever they want on Christmas day.
‘If you don’t want to get out of your PJ’s [today] and you want to stay in bed, do it. If you want to not eat Christmas dinner, not cook a roast, don’t do it,’ she added.
