Kate Ferdinand has shared a touching video to her Instagram showcasing how her step-daughter Tia planned a surprise day for her.
In a clip posted to her Instagram feed on Sunday, Kate, who is married to footballer-turned-pundit Rio Ferdinand, gushed over the adorable gesture from Tia.
In the caption, she wrote: “Tia has been taking her self off all week & being the over thinker that I am my mind has been on overdrive.
“Little did I know she was organising a surprise day for us – how lucky am I?!
“All emotional this evening, the words of this song couldn’t be more fitting… The best day ever.”
The short clip shows a piece of paper with “stay there until I say” written in red pen, presumably so Tia could continue making preparations.
The video then cuts to a card that reads “I love you Kate” with an array of pictures featuring the adorable duo.
The next shot shows Kate, 31, with Tia hiding behind, as they posed for a picture.
Tia then provided “mummy Kate” with a riddle which read: “Dry on a rainy day. We take Ronnie (because he could get lost). What am I?”
Kate and Tia then went shopping, filling baskets with gorgeous candles before going to grab a bite to eat.
Luckily for Kate, Tia had already chosen a restaurant, and she just had to solve the riddle, which revealed they were getting roast dinners.
The lovely day ended with a film in front of the TV. Fans gushed over the gesture in the comments section, with Rio himself commenting a series of emojis.
Former Saturdays bandmember Rochelle Humes wrote: “Oh my life.”
Similarly, one fan said: “Loved through choice, not by blood. Makes it even more special.”
Another added: “This is beautiful and you should be soo proud of the role model you are to Tia. This clearly shows as she wants to make you feel special and loved, like you obviously make her feel.”
Kate married Rio, 43, in 2019 and currently has one child, Cree Ferdinand, with the star.
Rio has three other kids, Tate, Lorenz and Tia, with his late wife Rebecca Ellison.
