While they have often come under fire for some products that they have chosen to promote, many fans have accepted it as part of their brand. Still, when it comes to the Kardashian kids, fans draw a hard line — as evidenced in a recent Reddit thread about a new ad featuring True Thompson.
The Kardashian kids have been featured on ‘KUWTK’
From the very beginning, the children in the Kardashian-Jenner family have been featured players on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. One of the earliest plot points in the reality show was Kourtney Kardashian’s pregnancy with her oldest son, Mason. As the years went on, the show continued to track the pregnancies and births of all the members of the family, from Kim Kardashian’s journey with surrogacy to Kylie Jenner‘s surprise pregnancy.
These days, the younger generation in the family is still a vital part of the family’s show. Viewers have followed along with Kourtney Kardashian’s struggle about whether to keep her kids out of the limelight and while they might not have always agreed with the choices that the family members made, ultimately, their openness has become part of who the family is. The kids continue to appear regularly on the show, and Mason Disick and North West have even started to have their own storylines on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

One of the most recent additions to the Kardashian-Jenner family is True Thompson, the daughter of Tristan Thompson and Khloé Kardashian.
True Thompson was born in a shroud of controversy in April 2018, after her father was revealed to have publicly cheated on her mother with several women. Still, Thompson and Kardashian have managed to co-parent their daughter peacefully – and the entire journey has been documented on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
True Thompson has appeared regularly on Keeping Up with the Kardashians since she was born. While fans undoubtedly love seeing an adorable baby light up their television screen, there is one particular part of her life that they just can’t get behind.
Fans don’t like True Thompson’s endorsement deal
Recently, True Thompson appeared in her very first ad, a diaper promotional deal. The ad is cute, but fans weren’t so sure about how ethical the arrangement is.
In a recent Reddit thread, fans discussed the ad, and their reactions were none too positive. One fan stated that “It’s also not HER deal because she’s a kid and doesn’t know what’s going on. Which makes it worse imo.”
Another said that “she’s literally promoting diapers as a baby and probably won’t have a choice in being apart of their show.”
Several people accused Khloé Kardashian of “pimping” her daughter out in exchange for money, and praised some family members like Rob Kardashian, for doing a little bit more to protect his child’s privacy. Still, Kardashian did have a few defenders, with one fan stating that “if Khloe is as savvy as I think she might be, I’m betting the proceeds are going into a trust for True and if that’s the case, I think it’s great.”
Another said that they see “nothing wrong” with the ad and that if True Thompson is going to be all over social media anyway, she might as well be earning some money from the exposure.
