She’s brushed aside her recent break-up from Pete Davidson by fulfilling her work duties during Paris Fashion Week.

And Kaia Gerber was the picture of confidence as she hit the runway alongside Gigi Hadid for Chanel’s Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2020 presentation at the Grand Palais in the French capital on Tuesday morning.

The luxury fashion house appeared to put an edgy spin on bridal glamour as the supermodel, 18, caught the eye in a strapless white puffball gown, complete with a black sheer cape.

Maintaining her quirky display, the catwalk queen’s striking outfit was complemented with a pair of see-through tights, thick ankle socks and chunky heeled loafers.

Ensuring focus remained on her number, the daughter of Cindy Crawford wore minimal accessories as she captivated the audience with her statement walk.

With her short brunette ‘do slicked back in a wet-look style, Kaia highlighted her out-of-this-world beauty with a smokey eye make-up look, tied in with heavy strokes of rose-tinted blush.

The elite fashion industry has been in mourning for the designer, who was famed for his groundbreaking fashion designs, since he passed away from pancreatic cancer aged 85 in February last year. 

Karl is widely credited with overhauling French luxury house Chanel, once known for its sensible two-pieces, into a cutting-edge fashion powerhouse synonymous with smudged eyeliner, show-stopping couture and futuristic minis.

In 1967, he was hired by Fendi to modernise their fur line, which proved a success when he began using mole, rabbit, and squirrel pelts in high fashion, before he stayed with the brand until his death. 

When he took the helm of Chanel in 1983, he shifted focus away from fragrance and accessories and focused on updating its heritage pieces, injecting much-needed life into its couture line following the death of legendary founder Coco Chanel.

Away from the catwalk, Kaia has reported split from comedian Pete, 26, after they were first romantically linked in October.

A source told Page Six: ‘It looks like Pete and Kaia are over. It got very overwhelming for Kaia. Pete has a certain M.O. and he’s very intense to his girlfriends. Kaia is only 18 and it’s a lot to deal with.’ 

The relationship quickly drew controversy, as Pete had only split with ex Margaret Qualley a week before, and Gerber had only turned 18 in September. 

Earlier this month, court officials confirmed Gigi was dismissed as a juror for Harvey Weinstein’s trial, an expected development following the attention her presence in court generated.

The former film producer, 67, is accused of raping a woman in a Manhattan hotel room in 2013 and sexually assaulting another in 2006. 

Judge James Burke has said he expects a panel of 12 jurors and six alternates to be seated in time for opening statements and evidence on January 22. The judge told prospective jurors he expected the trial to finish up in early March.

In the romance department, the blonde confirmed she’s back on with former beau Zayn Malik earlier this month, a year after they officially ended their three-year on/off relationship.
