Justin Bieber may not have actually been serious when he said he wanted to fight Tom Cruise — but it still might happen anyway!
As we reported, the pop star set off the internet earlier this month when he randomly, and rather aggressively, challenged the movie star to a UFC fight over Twitter, writing:
“Tom if you don’t take this fight scared and you will never live it down.”
Fans immediately went into a frenzy, with thousands placing their bets on which celeb would win in an MMA style showdown.
Sadly, it turned out JB was JK. He clarified in a paparazzi video shot days later:
“I don’t know him… He’s tight. The story is I saw an interview with him, and he was just on my mind. It was just a random tweet. I do that stuff sometimes… Tom, he’d probably whoop my ass in a fight.”
Well, we could very well find out.
According to TMZ, Ari Emanuel, co-CEO of William Morris Endeavor (the agency that owns UFC), called Justin’s manager Scooter Braun last Friday and said this epic fight needed to happen.
UFC head Dana White was apparently then conferenced in and said he was “100%” down for it.

As for Justin, Scooter reportedly said the pop star would absolutely throw down if the Mission Impossible star was up for it.
OK, but that wouldn’t happen… right??
Interestingly enough, Ari apparently said during the call he strongly believed the 56-year-old actor would be down to take on the 25-year-old singer.
So, yes, this fight could actually happen!
Biebs might have to bulk up a bit first, though. He explained to the paps:
“I’m really skinny right now… I think he’d probably be out of my weight class… He’s got that dad strength… He’s a dad right?”
He is, for the record. Tom shares 13-year-old daughter Suri with ex-wife Katie Holmes, and 24-year-old son Connor & 26-year-old daughter Isabella with ex-wife Nicole Kidman.
Tom might have that dad strength, but Justin has a secret weapon of his own: the alleged ability to open a can of whoop ass — at least, according to fellow Canadian pop star Shawn Mendes.
In an interview on the Elvis Duran Show back in May, the Stitches singer admitted he’d probably lose in a fight with Hailey Bieber‘s husband because he “has another type of level that he can click into that I don’t have,” adding:
“I don’t possess the switch that he does.”
But does Tom?
We guess we’ll have to wait to find out if the action star agrees to take up Biebs’ offer.
