Joe Jonas Already Knows How 'Game Of Thrones' Ends

Tensions are high as we near the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones. Some more intense fans have formulated theory after theory as to how it all ends while the rest of us are just kind of fumbling around waiting for the finale. The only people who can rest easy are those with insider knowledge, AKA the cast and crew of the show — and, apparently, Joe Jonas. He seems to know more about Season 8 than George R.R. Martin himself, and the Jonas bro has his lovely fiance, Sophie Turner, to thank for the confidential information.

Back in January, Turner, who plays Sansa Stark in the series, got flack for spilling secrets about the GoT ending. In an interview with W magazine, she admitted she spoiled the show’s ending for a few close friends.

“I’m so bad at keeping secrets. I don’t think people tell me things anymore because they know that I can’t keep them,” she said. “I’ve already told the ending of Game of Thrones to a few people.” Of course, she only spilled to people she knew could keep a secret — and since there’s barely any spoilers floating around the internet, it’s clear she chose the right folks.

Remember those intense fans we mentioned? Yeah, they didn’t like the idea of her spreading the sacred secrets around, which resulted in backlash against Turner on social media. So, in a more recent interview with EW, she clarified that what she said a few months back might have been a slight exaggeration. In reality, she only spilled the ending to two people — her fiance, Joe Jonas (because duh!), and an unnamed friend. Considering Jonas helped keep her sane while she filmed Season 8, don’t you think he deserves top-secret intel?

“I was on Twitter and saw these headlines like ‘Twitter followers are being so mean to Sophie Turner after reports she told her friends the ending of Game of Thrones‘” she said. “The truth is I’ve only told two people. It’s not that many. To be honest, I don’t read many of the mentions on Twitter because there’s normally quite a bit of hate. Everything I say will always have some negative reactions so I’m not surprised.”

Turner went on to note that her co-star, Kit Harington (Jon Snow, of course), didn’t receive as much criticism when he revealed he shared classified tidbits with his wife, Rose Leslie (who also appeared on the show a few seasons back). “The people love Kit Harington, he can do no wrong,” Turner said. “He’s the people’s prince!”

There’s only three weeks until the final season airs, so maybe we can lay off Turner, Jonas, and everyone else with the hot goss. If you had inside info on the biggest show on TV, you might find it hard to keep your lips sealed too, y’all.

Game of Thrones returns to HBO for its eighth and final season on April 14, 2019.
