Meghan Markle was showered with birthday greetings when she turned 37 on Saturday, August 4, but late last night, she got another sweet note from her best friend and stylist, Jessica Mulroney.
Mulroney shared a short but sweet tribute to the Duchess of Sussex on her Instagram story, featuring the duo wearing white summery dresses while lounging together on a patio. She captioned the black-and-white photo, “my favorite birthday girl.”
Mulroney likely also contacted Markle on her actual birthday over the weekend, but the Instagram post served as a heartfelt additional note. However, it appears to have been deleted from her story as of this morning.
Mulroney previously gave a shoutout to her BFF in May following the royal wedding. She posted a photo of Markle walking into St. George’s Chapel with her veil being carried by Jessica’s 7-year-old twin boys, Brian and John.
“Proud friend. Proud mom,” she captioned the post. Her 4-year-old daughter Ivy was also in the bridal party.

Markle and Mulroney reportedly met in 2011 when Meghan moved to Toronto to film Suits. Jessica lives there with her husband Ben (son of former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney) and their three kids.
Though Meghan now lives across the pond in London, that hasn’t stopped her and Jessica’s friendship and wardrobe collaborations. Mulroney reportedly styled Markle for her visit to the Nelson Mandela Centenary Exhibition (where she wore a blush sleeveless trench dress by House of Nonie) and for her royal tour of Ireland (which included looks from Givenchy, Roland Mouret, and Emilia Wickstead).
