Jennifer Garner keeps it casual in a button-up jacket and blue jeans while out with a friend in Brentwood

Jennifer Garner was pictured stepping out in Brentwood on Friday afternoon.

The 51-year-old performer cut a very casual figure and was accompanied by a friend as she took a short stroll near her affluent neighborhood.

The actress, who was recently spotted with her ex-husband Ben Affleck, wore a black button-up jacket on top of a T-shirt for the outing.

Garner also wore a pair of slim-fitting blue jeans and kept a white bag slung over her right shoulder.

The Primetime Emmy Award-nominated performer’s gorgeous brunette hair fell onto her shoulders.

The actress’ outing took place just a few weeks before the scheduled release date of her upcoming film Family Switch.

The feature is based on Amy Krouse Rosenthal’s book Bedtime for Mommy, which was published in 2010.

The movie is centered on a married couple who swaps bodies with their children following an encounter with an astrological reader.

In addition to Garner, the movie’s cast is rounded out by performers such as Ed Helms, Emma Myers and Rita Moreno.

The Elektra star was first attached to the project in 2021, when the movie was originally titled Family Leave.

Physical production on the McG-directed feature commenced this past February in Los Angeles.

The filmmaker recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight and spoke about his expectations for the upcoming movie.

McG, born Joseph McGinty Nichol, stated that he hoped the movie would be viewed as ‘surprising and light and more intelligent than you might think.’

The filmmaker also spoke about the feature’s dance scenes and singled out an opening sequence centered on Garner and Helms. 

He said of the scene: ‘It’s the embodiment of when you get out of your head and into your heart. That’s the message of the movie.’ 

‘My favorite way to make movies is to synthesize highbrow and lowbrow, where a kid could watch it and understand what’s going on, but a parent could watch it and ingest the material on a totally different, more sophisticated level,’ he added. 

Family Switch is currently scheduled to be released on Netflix on November 30.
