Jennifer Aniston has set the record straight about a viral salad recipe she was reported to have enjoyed every day while filming Friends.
The 53-year-old actress denied ever having the meal posted by Lovely Delites food blogger, Hannah, which went viral in May.
When asked about the popular recipe after it made waves on TikTok, Aniston told Elle magazine: ‘Well, that salad, dare I debunk that? That’s not the salad that I had every day on Friends.

‘I feel terrible because it’s literally taken off like crazy, and it looks like a delicious salad, by the way, but that’s not the one that I had on Friends.’
The salad – which is a unique take on a traditional Cobb – saw Hannah fill a bowl with red onion, cucumber, pistachios, fresh parsley, fresh mint and a can of chickpeas.
As for whether the Marley & Me star would be willing to try the viral salad, Aniston added: ‘I would never have that much chickpea in a salad, to be honest. Not good for the digestive tract.’
Chickpeas, also called garbanzo beans, are a type of legume that are high in fiber, vitamins, minerals, and proteins. Eating the legume provides many health benefits, however, cooked chickpeas contain complex sugars and fermentable oligosaccharides which can be difficult to digest and are not completely absorbed by the intestines.
Meanwhile, raw chickpeas contain toxic substances that do not get digested well.
The salad was first linked to Aniston in 2010, when her Friends co-star Courteney Cox shared details about it in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.
The Scream star, 57, stated at the time that Aniston would make it for her female castmates every day.
In the viral TikTok video, Los Angeles-based home cook Hannah claimed the salad was perfect to practice chopping skills as the ingredients are finely diced for maximum flavor.
‘It was a Cobb salad that Jennifer doctored up with turkey bacon and garbanzo beans and I don’t know what,’ she shared. ‘She just has a way with food, which really helps. Because if you’re going to eat the same salad every day for 10 years, it’d better be a good salad, right?’
