Jason Sudeikis takes his son to the Nuggets vs. Knicks game

Jason Sudeikis spends quality time with his son Otis, eight, at the Nuggets vs. Knicks game in NYC after spurring reconciliation rumors with Olivia Wilde

Jason Sudeikis looked every inch the doting father as he treated his and Olivia Wilde’s son Otis to courtside tickets at the Nuggets vs. Knicks game at Madison Square Garden on Saturday.

The Ted Lasso star, 46, enjoyed the game alongside three of his castmates from the hit series, Brendan Hunt, Toheeb Jimoh, and Kola Bokinni,  as they took a break from promoting their new season, which premiered this week on Apple TV+.

The actor cut a casual figure in a black hoodie with jeans, Air Jordans, and a black hat as he sat with his arm around his son.

Otis, eight, tucked his long blonde hair under a white Knicks hat and wore a cream fleece, black pants with a rip in the knee, and Adidas sneakers.

In January, DailyMail.com published exclusive photos of Olivia, 38, and Jason showing major affection towards each other as they exited a meeting in Los Angeles.

They were spotted chatting and smiling at each other on the sidewalk, in plain view of photographers.  Before going their separate ways, they gave each other a warm embrace, which was pleasant for both parties.

As they walked away from each other, Olivia continued to smile as her ex gave her a peace sign, which was a huge indication that things were turning around for them.

A source close to Olivia and Jason insisted that the pair ‘do not have any drama anymore,’ adding that they are both ‘very single’ following the actress’s split from Harry Styles.

Olivia has also moved on and is ready to date again, according to a report in Us Weekly. ‘Olivia is ready to date again, making it clear she’s available, and she isn’t looking for anything less than an amazing guy,’ a source told the outlet.

However, the source noted that they are not currently in a romantic relationship and instead focus on ‘friendship.’

After finding themselves at the center of a sensational scandal just a few months ago, when details about their bitter split were publicized, insiders now say that the former couple has overcome their differences and are in ‘constant communication’ while successfully parenting their two kids, Daisy, six, and Otis.

The two amicable exes have been stuck in a nasty bi-coastal custody battle for the past several years but have reportedly put any anger and resentment behind them.

What are the critics saying?

The Guardian

Rating:

‘Thus the audience may breathe a small sigh of relief. The makers have not messed with the formula.’

 CNN

‘Ted Lasso doesn’t have anything left to prove, other than perhaps demonstrating that it can finish as well as it started. However the show goes about getting there, the one certainty seems to be that its namesake will be smiling and rattling off odd analogies all the way to the final gun.’

The Hollywood Reporter

‘Ted Lasso has become a show in which every character feels worthy of being the star of their own show — which is awesome in a landscape where many series don’t have a single character worthy of anchoring a show — and every one feels as if they’re only being half-serviced.’

The Washington Post

‘It retains plenty of what makes it fun — a lovable cast, good jokes and the hilarious inclusion of a rom-com trope or musical lyric where none should be (‘The King and I’ song ‘Getting to Know You’ makes a startling appearance).’
