He recently returned to the director’s chair for a documentary based on the most patriotic day of the year in America.

For A Day In the Life of America, Leto sent a whopping 92 camera crews to all 50 states to capture a single day on the 4th of July, shot in solely that 24 hour frame.

The film captures all walks of life, including those who were preparing the controversial Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia that happened in August 2017.

The film is described as, ‘a rallying cry for our collective responsibility towards one another and to our great country,’ on the Tribeca Film Festival website.
