Jane Fonda, 84, cuts youthful figure modeling summery blouse as she swings by Good Morning America

Jane Fonda was sprightly as ever when she was spotted in Times Square this week headed into Good Morning America.

The 84-year-old slid her impressively trim physique into a summery ensemble that included fitted white trousers.

She buttoned herself into a pastel floral blouse and tucked it into her slacks, emphasizing her enviably trim waistline.

Stepping out: Jane Fonda was sprightly as ever when she was spotted in Times Square this week headed into Good Morning America

The workout tape icon, who once remarked that she ‘bought myself a decade with plastic surgery,’ could be seen smiling and waving.

Jane cut a fit and youthful figure during her latest outing, demonstrating excellent posture as she made her way around Midtown Manhattan.

While promoting her animated feature Luck on Good Morning America that day, Jane shared her own mindset about life’s changing fortunes.

She fell back on an old adage attributed to Seneca and noted that ‘this is not original to me, but luck is preparation meeting opportunity.’

Jane elaborated: ‘You know, opportunity can come along and there are people who don’t know – they can’t even see it, much less seize it and use it. In a way, you have to prepare yourself to take advantage of opportunity and turn it into luck.’

She went on: ‘I also believe, and this is kind of the theme of the movie, that it’s not a binary. It’s not all good luck and bad luck and the two ne’er shall meet.’

Jane argued: ‘They’re the same. It’s like silence makes no sense without noise, life makes no sense without death – well, good luck makes no sense without bad luck.’

When host George Stephanopoulos played a snatch of footage from the film, she cheerfully said: ‘I haven’t seen the movie yet so it’s fun to look at these little clips.’

Luck comes after the end of Jane’s long-running Netflix sitcom Grace And Frankie, which reunited her with her 9 To 5 co-star Lily Tomlin.

Grace And Frankie, whose co-creator Marta Kauffman also helped create Friends, dropped its last batch of episodes this April.

Jane and Lily star as diametrically opposite women – an elegant martini-swilling martinet and a relaxed New Age type – who wind up living together.

They find themselves having to stay in the same house after their husbands (Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston) leave them for each other.

The seventh and final season featured an appearance by Dolly Parton, who had led the cast of 9 To 5 alongside Jane and Lily.

Jane’s upcoming films include a sequel to her hit 2018 comedy Book Club about four older women who read Fifty Shades Of Grey and revitalize their lives.

In recent months Jane and her co-stars Mary Steenburgen, Diane Keaton and Candice Bergen have been seen shooting Book Club 2 in Italy.
