She debuted white hair at the Oscars on Sunday.

Jane, who became bulimic as a teen and suffered disordered eating for decades, said: ‘I have to work every day to be self-accepting; it doesn’t come easy to me.’

‘I try to make it very clear that it has been a long and continuing struggle for me. I post pictures of me looking haggard – and once with my tooth out!’ she noted.

Indicating one of her incisors. she told the magazine: ‘This is a fake tooth. It came out in a restaurant in Portugal, and I posted it.’

Jane hit the stage at the Oscars on Sunday to present best picture, which in a historic win went to South Korean thriller Parasite.

As seen in 2016: ‘I try to make it very clear that it has been a long and continuing struggle for me. I post pictures of me looking haggard – and once with my tooth out!’ she noted

Her hair colorist Jack Martin shared that ‘her goal color was a silver icy blonde to surprise everyone at the 2020 Oscar presenting the final award winner for the movie of the year.’ She had walked the red carpet in a wig of her old blonde hairdo.

In 2017 Jane bristled when Megyn Kelly brought up the subject of her cosmetic procedures, quickly turning the talk back to the movie she was promoting.

She has otherwise been candid about surgery, telling The Guardian in 2015 that ‘I think I bought myself a decade with plastic surgery.’

Throwback: ‘I can’t pretend that I’m not vain, but there isn’t going to be any more plastic surgery – I’m not going to cut myself up anymore,’ she told Elle Canada; pictured in 2005

Jane vamped to People in 1984 that ‘you can spot an inflated breast a mile away’ and in the intervening time had breast implants put in and later removed.

The workout tape icon, who has also had more than one face lift, appeared on the Today show in 2011 and revealed why she came around to surgery.

‘I was walking down the street one day and I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror, and I, ugh, it was like: “Who’s that?”‘ she told Matt Lauer.

Through the years: Jane is pictured during her 1992 wedding reception to ‘my favorite ex-husband’ Ted Turner, the third man she married and divorced

‘And I thought: “Oh, my God, it’s me!” I feel so great and so rested, and I look so different, and I just decided – and I’m not proud of it – I decided I wanted to look more like how I feel,’ said the star.

In her new HBO documentary Jane Fonda In Five Acts, the title film star expressed some regret at having turned to plastic surgery for her face.

‘I love older faces. I love lived-in faces. I love Vanessa Redgrave’s face. I wish I was braver,’ said Jane by way of what was ostensibly supposed to be a compliment.
