North Carolina is yet to recover from the devastating effects of Hurricane Florence, which hit the state last month, and James Taylor is doing everything in his power to help.
Working with the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina, Taylor recently launched the James Taylor Million Meals Challenge, inviting donations from all across the nation. The singer will be matching each and every donation, “until we have met our goal of a million meals and fulfilled our commitment to these neighbors through the food bank … We will be so grateful for your gift,” he wrote in a statement on Facebook.
James Taylor is based in New Bern, North Carolina and wrote one of his most famous songs, “Carolina In My Mind” about his experience of growing up in the county.
