Former Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan took to Instagram today to ask his 247,000 followers for help as he announced his family are “currently homeless”. The star went on to detail the “rude” exchange he had experienced with a landlord that had led to their unfortunate circumstances.

The professional dancer, who is married to fellow Strictly star Ola Jordan, explained to his fans how the whole situation had felt like “a set up”.

He wrote: “We are currently in the process of moving and need to move into rented accommodation for about 6 months.

“We found a rental property we liked and went this morning to meet the landlord.

“I have never been spoken to so rudely!” the star exclaimed furiously.

“Especially in front of Ola and Ella. It was almost like it was a setup.

“I hope no one out there has experienced this with a landlord,” he added.

“He spoke down to us from the minute I shook his hand.”

“Currently homeless. Anyone want to take Ola, Ella and myself for Christmas?” he added with a Father Christmas emoji.

James is yet to update his followers on their family’s situation, but Express.co.uk have contacted the star for further comment.

James and Ola often take to social media to share sweet pictures and stories about their family with their loyal fanbase.

Their adorable daughter Ella, who is two years old, often makes an appearance in their posts.

The pair joined the BBC One show Strictly Come Dancing together in 2006, with James leaving in 2013 and Ola following two years later.

James and Ola turned professional as a dancing duo in 2000 – six years before they joined Strictly.

The couple married back in 2003 on October 12 and have been a celebrity power couple ever since.

They became parents on February 27, 2020, when they welcomed their daughter Ella into the world.

In 2014, James participated in the 14th series of Celebrity Big Brother, finishing in third place.

He then went on to win the 11th series of Dancing on Ice, where he was partnered with professional Finnish figure skater Alexandra Schauman.

Meanwhile, Ola became a judge on Poland’s equivalent show to Strictly, Dancing with the Stars: Taniec z Gwiazdami.
