J. Cole‘s Dreamville Festival has been postponed until late August due to concerns over the coronavirus outbreak.
“While the State of North Carolina and local health officials continue to work to protect the well being of all in the State, we have worked collaboratively to identify the best possible outcome,” festival organizers said in a statement.
They added, “While this decision has been extremely difficult to make, the safety of our fans, artists, and staff is always our top priority, and nothing will ever take precedence over your well-being.”
The festival has been rescheduled to August 29.
The organizers urged fans to follow the guidelines and various preventive measures put forth by local and national health authorities.
The Dreamville Festival 2020, which is into its second year, was originally scheduled to be held on April 4 at Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh.
The Dreamville Festival promised to honor all previously purchased tickets. Those who cannot attend the festival in August will be offered refunds.
