ITV among channels 'cracking down on celebs with OnlyFans accounts'

Watch out, Love Island stars! ITV ‘cracks down on featuring celebs with raunchy OnlyFans accounts – because explicit work isn’t compatible with their audience’

ITV are ‘blocking celebrities who offer explicit material on subscription sites such as OnlyFans’ from appearing on their shows.

The network, as well as other channels, are said to be ‘cracking down’ on hiring reality personalities – such as Kerry Katona, Lauren Goodger and Megan Barton Hanson – who post x-rated content online.

An source at the broadcaster said ‘such explicit work isn’t compatible with their audience’ – and the decision will apply to shows ‘across the board’.

An insider told the Daily Star: ‘ITV are now against talent with pay-per-view fans sites such as OnlyFans when looking at stars being involved in new shows.

‘The decision isn’t aligned to any one show in particular but across the board. It’s thought that such explicit work isn’t compatible with their audience.

‘It’s not just [ITV]. Channels in general are cracking down – it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say it can be a deal-breaker for some producers.’

MailOnline has approached ITV for comment.

Ex-plicit On The Beach: As well as women, OnlyFans proves popular among male reality stars, with the likes of Ex On The Beach’s [L-R] Rogan O’Connor and Josh Ritchie launching accounts

As well as women, OnlyFans proves popular among male reality stars, with the likes of Ex On The Beach’s Josh Ritchie, Stephen Bear and Rogan O’Connor launching accounts.

OnlyFans is a popular choice for reality personalities – such as TOWIE, Ex On The Beach, Love Island and Geordie Shore stars – to rake in extra cash.

Those whose TV work has dried up – but have a large online following and have become known for their titillating content – are said to earn thousands thanks to the pay-per-view sites.

OnlyFans allows creators to upload content behind a paywall and charge subscribers to see it. They can also interact with their fans by sending them pictures and messages.

X-rated: Other platforms have emerged in recent years, such as Glow – with supermodel Kate Moss’ younger sister Lottie recently launching an account to the shock of fans

Stateside: American stars are also rife on the site, with high-profile users such as Bella Thorne [pictured], Blac Chyna, Amber Rose, Tyga, DJ Khaled, Ansel Elgort, and Courtney Stodden raking in extra money

Other platforms have emerged in recent years, such as Glow – with supermodel Kate Moss’ younger sister Lottie recently launching an account to the shock of fans.

The content varies, however, with Lottie’s paid-for posts not dissimilar to her public Instagram uploads.

Others, however, go much more extreme, with pornographic material cropping up.

American stars are also rife on the site, with high-profile users such as Bella Thorne, Blac Chyna, Amber Rose, Tyga, DJ Khaled, Ansel Elgort, and Courtney Stodden raking in extra money.

It’s not just celebrities who take to the site in order to boost their finances.

Her OnlyFans wealth meant she could buy a villa with a pool and a £44,000 Ford Mustang GT5.

And Ms Biss – who was bullied out of school as a teen – says sharing pictures of herself has given her a newfound confidence.

She said: ‘People were giving me compliments and saying nice things which gave me confidence. It makes me feel special.

‘There are people who think I should be ashamed of myself, but I’m not – I’m proud of it.’
