Isla Fisher reveals the REAL reason why she and husband Sacha Baron Cohen keep their children out of the public eye
She’s the Australian actress who is married to comedian Sacha Baron Cohen.
And while Isla Fisher and her husband are very much in the public eye, they are notoriously private about their children.
The actress, 47, and her partner, 51, have never uploaded social media images of their three children Olive, Elula and Montgomery.
Appearing on Wednesday’s episode of Lorraine, Isla explained the real reason as to why she chooses to keep them out of the spotlight.
She said: ‘It’s unfair on them! Kids deserve a normal childhood. I want them to be outdoors and play and run around – not feel subconscious.’

This is not the first time the actress has spoken about her decision to shield her children from the public eye.
In an interview with Marie Claire Australia in 2021, Isla said: ‘Motherhood is actually my favourite topic – but I keep it private.
‘I think all parents are trying to protect their kids, especially in the social media age.
‘I want our children to have a normal childhood – being able to play outside without pressure or scrutiny. All kids have the right to just be kids, and I would never sell a film or magazine by speaking about [mine].’
In November last year, Isla explained how being a mother is the most important role in her life.
The Hollywood star, who started her career on Aussie soap Home and Away, told The Australian Women’s Weekly her acting skills often come in handy when raising her three children.
‘One of the perks of being an actor is you have a bunch of silly voices in your back pocket to whip out at bedtime,’ she said.

The Wedding Crashers star said she loves reading bedtime stories to her kids, and often uses her imagination to come up with fun and engaging stories.
She said: ‘There’s often a teachable lesson that leads to interesting discussions. If somebody is having a problem at school or something, I’ll tailor the bedtime story a little bit to align with whatever’s going on,’ she added.
Only a year earlier, the Hollywood couple relocated from Los Angeles to Sydney.
While it’s was widely speculated that they moved Down Under to escape the coronavirus pandemic ravaging the US, reports claimed they were actually fleeing America’s tumultuous political climate.
‘They didn’t want to raise their kids in Trump’s America,’ an insider told Sydney Morning Herald.
Isla and Sacha first met at a party in Sydney in 2002, and married eight years later.
Isla reflected on the couple having been together for two decades – a rarity in the fickle world of showbusiness.
‘It is a fun ride. I feel so lucky to have Sacha in my life. Now we have this beautiful family and we survived lockdown together, which you know, it is not easy for any couple,’ she said.
‘I think by Hollywood standards it’s probably 200 years!’ she joked. ‘I feel like it’s a Golden Jubilee or something. Everyone was congratulating me.’
