Inbetweeners' James Buckley thinks the Earth is shaped like a bowl

James Buckley is the latest celebrity suggesting the world is not round.

However, instead of revealing himself as a Flat Earther, the Inbetweeners star has hinted the planet we all call home is actually shaped like a bowl of porridge.

Yes, seriously.

The 31-year-old recently recorded a podcast with YouTube star Alex J O’Connor (aka Cosmic Skeptic) in a bid to get to the bottom of the conspiracy theories.

But it seems the whole thing turned the Jay Cartwright actor in another direction altogether…

Chatting to The Sun, he reportedly told the publication: ‘First of all I thought it was round, then I was told it was flat.

‘Then when I started thinking it was flat it’s now round again.

‘So I’m looking into the theory that Earth is actually lumpy and bumpy.

‘I imagine it to be as if a bowl of porridge had a gravitational pull.’

We can actually hear Will McKenzie’s mind imploding.

While this whole thing has made us a little hungry, James isn’t the only famous face questioning what shape the Earth is.

In fact, Freddie Flintoff is adamant there is ‘evidence to suggest the world isn’t round’.

The cricket legend turned Top Gear presenter previously questioned: ‘If you’re in a helicopter and you hover why does the Earth not come to you if it’s round?

‘Why, if we’re hurtling through space, why would water stay still? Why is it not wobbling?

‘Also if you fire a laser about 16 miles, if the world was curved, you shouldn’t be able to see it but you can.’

While Logan Paul took it upon himself to delve straight into the conspiracy theory on YouTube.

And the platform has been blamed for the rising number of Flat Earth believers.

‘There’s a lot of helpful information on YouTube but also a lot of misinformation,’ researcher Asheley Landrum said.

‘Their algorithms make it easy to end up going down the rabbit hole, by presenting information to people who are going to be more susceptible to it.’

A recent documentary on Netflix attempted to shed light on Flat Earthers, giving them a chance to explain their thought process.

However, in an awkward moment on Behind The Curve, they accidentally managed to prove the Earth is round.

They might want to have a chat with James about his porridge idea…
