This Morning host Alison Hammond is enjoying single life at the moment, but does hope to embark on a new relationship in the near future. However, the 46-year-old TV presenter said she’s not going to stress about finding a partner, despite claiming that people are not meant to be on their own.

The mum-of-one simply said: “If it happens, it happens.”

Alison, who is still on good terms with her ex husband Noureddine Boufaied, the father of her 16-year-old son Aidan, joked that she was more likely to be a spinster.

She told The Sun: “We’re not supposed to be on our own, but at the moment I am enjoying not being with anyone.

“I’m going to be a spinster and die on my own and you aren’t going to find me for three weeks.”

“Look, if it happens, it happens, but I’m not going to stress,” the ITV star continued.

The presenter went on to admit that sometimes work gets in the way of her love life.

Alison reflected that it was probably quite “difficult” for her exes to watch her flirting with famous men on TV.

Over the years, the former Big Brother star has interviewed a number of high profile stars including George Clooney, Hugh Jackman and Michael Bublé.

Earlier in the year, Alison said dating during lockdown had been tricky but she did not want to resort to dating apps.

She hopes to meet her future partner in a more natural fashion.

“I’ve been there and done it. I’ve had a boyfriend from a dating app and I’m really not into them any more,” she told Notebook in April.

“Especially during these times, you can’t even meet up with someone and I don’t just want to be doing loads of messages.

“I’d rather meet someone naturally,” she added.

Alison was previously married to her son’s father Noureddine.

It is not known when the couple divorced.

However in 2014 she found love again and got engaged to security guard Jamie Savage.

Three years later the couple went their separate ways.

During her stint on the Channel 4 reality show Celebs Go Dating in 2020, Alison met audio technician Ben Kusi.

The couple briefly dated.

The I Can See Your Voice judge is now single and focusing her attention on her work and teenage son.
