Third time’s the charm?

Idris Elba wed model Sabrina Dhwore on Friday in Morocco in his third try at marriage. The Thor star, 46, walked down the aisle with Dhwore in a lavish ceremony on April 26. 2019. The two exchanged vows on Friday at the garden-themed luxury hotel called Ksar Char Bagh in Marrakesh, British Vogue reported.

While Dhwore made a splash in two custom-made Vera Wang gowns, Elba looked typically dapper in a classic black suit by Ozwald Boateng. Before the ceremony, Elba and Dhowre hosted an extravagant rehearsal dinner at Amanjena on Thursday, according to Vogue.

“There was a huge festive party with camels and fire dancers and dancing,” a source told PEOPLE.

But that wasn’t all—the newlyweds, along with their friends and family, reportedly were also set to attend an all-white party the day after the nuptials on Saturday.

The British Luther TV star and his beauty got engaged in February 2018. Elba popped the question on stage ahead of a screening of his film Yardie at Rio cinema in London. The glamorous venue shared the couple’s happy news with their Twitter followers at the time, noting, “Another @Riocinemafirst! Still 5 days to Valentines Day but @idriselba went down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend live on stage this morning before a preview of his film #Yardie.’ ”

Elba later told PEOPLE about the proposal, “It was a little spontaneous if I’m honest. I was at a cast and crew screening and among people I loved. We had all worked so hard for this project so I was like I’m doing it right now, here, today.”

The star and Dhwore fell in love while he was making his 2017 thriller The Mountain Between Us in Canada. However, the mountain between Elba and his love was his hesitation to ever marry again!

He’s already had two failed marriages–to Hanne “Kim” Nørgaard from 1999 to 2003 and then to Sonya Nicole Hamlin for four months in 2006. Elba has two kids.

The Wire star said before getting engaged to Dhwore, “Am I ever gonna get remarried? I don’t think so. Yeah, I don’t think so. Marriage is an institution of sorts. And I’ve done it. It’s not for everybody. It’s not my life’s calling.”

But he changed his mind with his model love and has said they have “good chemistry. She makes me laugh and we share common goals. She makes me happy.”
