Hilaria Baldwin has addressed the ‘cruel’ people who criticize her.
In a new Romper magazine profile, the 39-year-old mother-of-seven said, ‘It’s a ridiculous thing to be cruel to another person.’
The timing is interesting.
The comment comes just after Amy Schumer slammed her in the Netflix special Emergency Contact.
Schumer called her a ‘sociopath’ and referred to her brood as a ‘von Trapp family’ from The Sound Of Music in the streaming special, which premiered June 13.
Amy also took aim at Hilaria’s husband, actor Alec Baldwin, who was involved in the accidental death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins while filming the movie Rust in October 2021.
‘Her husband shot someone … Don’t look down the barrel of Alec Baldwin’s shotgun,’ Schumer, 42, said at one point in her standup routine.

Amy also famously trolled the yoga teacher in 2021 after it came to light that she had allegedly been dishonest about her Spanish heritage.
Schumer said she met Hilaria ‘years ago’ backstage at SNL, where the star told her she was ‘from España.’
She added, ‘They have a von Trapp amount of children, and they named them all – I’m not sure, but very Spanish names like Jamón, Croqueta and Flamenco.
‘And all of this would be fine and beautiful, except that “Hilaria from España” is actually Hillary from Boston.
‘This woman is in no way Spanish. Her parents are not from Spain. No one in her life is from Spain.’
Alec and Hilaria share seven children — Carmen, nine; Rafael, seven; Leonardo, six; Romeo, five; Maria, two; Eduardo, two; and Ilaria, eight months — while Baldwin also shares his eldest daughter, 27-year-old Ireland Baldwin, with ex-wife Kim Basinger.
Hilaria also talked to Romper about her kids.
The New York University alum revealed to the outlet, ‘[Ilaria] is probably, most definitely, almost completely my last baby,’ although she admitted she is not on birth control.
She said that the contraception makes her feel ‘awful’ and ‘depressed.’

While she admitted she doesn’t love being pregnant, she explained: ‘Giving birth is like going down a water slide that’s really scary.
‘And then you get to the bottom, and you’re like, “I want to do this again.”‘
About her husband, she noted: ‘Every single time I have a baby, my OB writes down the vasectomy doctor on a Post-it, and I bring it home to Alec. He hasn’t done it yet.’
In the conversation with the entertainment news outlet, Hilaria added about the criticism the couple sometimes receives: ‘I think there’s so much focus on negativity. There’s always positive news, there’s always positive people. And so, it’s the question of leaning into that.
‘And I have to remind myself and I have my core group of friends who are always checking me,’ she stressed.
The star also said, ‘You know, we are forever grateful to the people who lift us up and hold us in our hard times. And that might be as close as somebody in our family or one of our dearest, dearest friends.
‘Or it could be somebody on the street who is just giving us a random hug or saying something very kind and supportive.’

The fitness enthusiast explained that she relinquished her sense of control after welcoming her third child.
‘With two, I felt like I could still have a level of control; I was trying to micromanage everything. And once I got to three, I just released and was like, “OK, it’s going to be chaos. We are outnumbered. You’ve got to let it go.”‘

In the piece, Alec praised his wife, gushing that he is ‘madly in love’ with her.
‘I admire her, and I have faith in her integrity. She’s incredibly decent, and she’s obviously a beautiful woman. I’m madly in love with her.
‘And she can be a gigantic pain in the *ss sometimes, but that’s marriage. But I feel like I know a lot of friends of mine who get into a routine and everything’s about their kids.
‘Who has more of a reason to make everything about our kids but us with so many, yet we still try to hold onto some time for ourselves,’ he reflected.
