Heather McDonald responds to Chrissy Teigen with sarcasm amid rift

Heather McDonald says Chrissy Teigen ‘is just a mom/super model who actually eats and is super authentic’ … in sarcastic response amid war of words between pair

Heather McDonald on Wednesday took to Instagram with the latest salvo in an ongoing social media spat with Chrissy Teigen.

The rift between McDonald, 51, and Teigen, 35, had seemingly began after McDonald was critical of a social media post from Teigen downplaying her glamorous image, which McDonald called ‘humble brags’ and outdated.

Teigen, seemingly responding to the 51-year-old comedian, said ‘F*** off’ and ‘why people follow people they hate us [is] beyond me.’

The latest: Heather McDonald, 51, on Wednesday took to Instagram with the latest salvo in an ongoing social media spat with Chrissy Teigen, 35

The Southern California native on Wednesday responded, ‘I do not hate anyone,’ as she went into more detail about her rationale in her words toward the Lip Sync Battle star.

‘When Chrissy posted the flattering photo of herself in glam and a nipped in waist, claiming it was in fact unflattering,’ McDonald said, ‘I merely was pointing it out that many of us now see the humble brag attempt and call BS.’

McDonald pointed out Teigen’s stint as a judge of comedians on the NBC series Bring The Funny, alongside, comedians Kenan Thompson and Jeff Foxworthy

‘Now since she considers herself a comedian, and was literally a judge on TV of comedy, I was praying that she come up with some new material for her social media,’ said McDonald.

Sensitive: Before coming to her own defense, the 35-year-old revealed she may be ‘a little sensitive’ about the matter since McDonald’s critical remarks coincidentally fell on the one year anniversary of her pregnancy loss

To conclude her indirect response to Heather, Chrissy wrote: ‘Why people follow people they hate us [sic] is beyond me’

Firing back: Chrissy Teigen seemingly fired back at Heather McDonald (right)  after the comedian called her a ‘hypocrite’ for recently posting that she doesn’t care about looking ‘perfect’ on Instagram

She again pointed out her doubt toward Teigen’s sincerity at posting an unflattering photo.

‘Maybe today Chrissy can squeeze the outside of her thigh and highlight a cellulite dimple so the world can again remember how real she is,’ she said. ‘Chrissy is just a mom/super model who actually eats and is super authentic.’

McDonald went on to say that she would add more thoughts on the topic during her upcoming shows at the Irvine Improv from Friday thru Sunday.

Teigen previously seemingly fired back at Heather McDonald after the comedian called her a ‘hypocrite’ for recently posting that she doesn’t care about looking ‘perfect’ on Instagram.

Before coming to her own defense, the 35-year-old revealed she may be ‘a little sensitive’ about the matter since McDonald’s critical remarks coincidentally fell on the one year anniversary of her pregnancy loss.

Teigen began: ‘I didn’t sleep at all a last night, as John [Legend] can attest. I was up sick, sobbing, as my phone popped up the memory of being in the hospital exactly one year ago, losing our baby.

‘Maybe I’m a little sensitive today but f**k off.’

Comment section: Though it’s unclear whether or not McDonald follows Teigen, the comedian did leave her initial criticism in the comment section of the model’s Monday Instagram post

Interesting choice: Heather appeared to take the most issue with the photograph Chrissy chose to use as proof that she doesn’t ‘care about curating [her] Instagram to be perfection’

The loss of Chrissy and her husband John Legend’s son Jack occurred ‘halfway through’ her pregnancy after she experienced uncontrollable bleeding that forced her to be hospitalized.

On September 30, 2020, Teigen revealed the loss publicly and explained that they were ‘unable to stop the bleeding’ which led to Jack being unable to get ‘the fluids he needed’ to survive.

She and John had conceived Jack naturally, whereas their other two children, daughter Luna and son Miles, were conceived using IVF treatments.

To conclude her indirect response to McDonald, Chrissy wrote: ‘Why people follow people they hate us [sic] is beyond me.’

The portrait in question, which Teigen deemed ‘unflattering,’ showed her in full glam with her eyes closed and mouth slightly open.

‘These humble brags of “this is an unfiltered picture so say whatever mean thing you want so people will actually write nice things since I still actually look great” is so 3 years ago, Chrissy,’ wrote Heather. ‘You know what is curated, your Twitter.’

After leaving her comment, McDonald reposted it to her own Instagram page, adding: ‘I cannot take it. Swipe RT. I’m just having one of those days where I had to point out the #hypocrite on IG.

‘I can’t be the only one that can see through this BS. Prayers for Chrissy that she comes up with some new ideas,’ concluded the TV personality, who received supportive comments from Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent and more verified Instagram accounts.

Shortly after seemingly calling out the comedian on her Instagram Story, Chrissy took a moment to further pay homage to Jack.

‘And to the son we almost had. a year ago you gave me the greatest pain I could ever imagine to show me I could survive anything, even if I didn’t want to,’ captioned the star, who included a heartbreaking image of herself crying in a hospital bed as John consoled her.

‘i didn’t get to take care of you but you came and went to get me to love myself and take care of myself because our bodies are precious and life is a miracle. they told me it would get easier but yeah, that hasn’t started yet. mom and dad love you forever,’ the post concluded.
