Hailey Bieber admits she faced ‘saddest, hardest moments’ in 2023

Hailey Bieber, 26, revealed she has been going through “some of the saddest, hardest moments” of her life this year as she reflected on her mental health.

The model was recently at the centre of controversy as fans speculated about a feud between her and Selena Gomez, who is her husband Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriend.

As a result of the rumours, Hailey was targeted by online trolls who went as far as threatening her life, and she had to reach out to the singer to get her fans to stop the “hate and bullying”.

Now, Hailey appeared to reflect upon those scary moments, as she took to her Instagram to pen a candid admission in view of her 49.5 million followers.

Writing over a black background on her Story, Hailey began: “I like to make jokes about how I feel because sometimes it’s easier than admitting I’m having a hard time.

“But truthfully since 2023 started I have had some of the saddest, hardest moments I’ve ever had in my adult life and my mind and emotions have been fragile to say the least.”

Hailey continued: “And I know so many other people feel the same way I feel, so just know you’re not alone.”

In a follow-up post, Hailey encouraged fans to “be there for one another”.

She typed: “That being said, let’s keep being there for one another. Let’s be there for loved ones and friends and family and strangers.

“Let’s just be there for people.. let’s keep showing up for each other even when it’s hard. We’re better together.”

Last month, Selena jumped to Hailey’s defence after rumours emerged of a spat between the pair when Hailey shared a TikTok video in which some believed she was making fun of Selena.

Joined by close friends Kendall Jenner and Justine Skye, the ladies lip-synced along to the words: “I’m not saying she deserves it, but God’s timing is always right.”

Addressing her 403 million Instagram followers, Selena said: “Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity.

“This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying.

“I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop.”
