Gwyneth Paltrow reveals her son Moses, 16, isn’t interested in her wellness advice: ‘He will barely let me give him a vitamin’

She is known for running the wellness and lifestyle brand Goop.

But Gwyneth Paltrow, 50, revealed that her son Moses, 16, and daughter Apple, 18, are not always interested in following her lifestyle advice in a new interview with E! News.

The Academy Award winner said of her son – whom she shares with ex-husband Chris Martin, along with Apple – ‘He’s sixteen and he will barely let me give him a vitamin.’

‘It’s also like, knowing when to relent and give him his space,’ she added, before explaining that the kids have free will to choose whether they will follows her healthy lifestyle.

‘I try not to force anything on them. They were raised in an environment where wellness is important and they will adopt what they choose to, or not. They have free will.’

The actress also divulged that Apple is a tad more curious about wellness as she gets older.

‘Apple, she tends to be more wellness-curious now at 18 than she was when she was kind of like smack in the middle of her teens, so we’ll see.’

She also shared that though Apple has done Pilates and Tracy Anderson workouts with her, there is one thing that she will not do: ‘She doesn’t like to hike with me. She’s not feeling it.’

Meanwhile Moses enjoys skateboarding: ‘Moses will take walks with me, so that’s great, and he likes to skateboard too, so often times, we’ll walk and he’ll skate next to me and that’s fun.’ 

And though the Los Angeles native promoted healthy eating in her home, she admits that her children make their own choices outside of the house: ‘When they’re out of the house, I’m sure they go for the Oreos and the McNuggets. More power to them.’

The star recently revealed that she was ‘sick to her stomach’ when Apple went to college in September.

‘It was horrible. It was truly horrifying,’ she told People. ‘I was sick to my stomach, bursting into tears.’

However she admitted that she is ‘getting more and more used to’ it and is relieved Apple is ‘happy.’

The lifestyle expert also said that she went on a parents weekend visit and Apple came home for October break last weekend. ‘That was amazing,’ she added. ‘I see her, but not as much as I’d like. I’d like to see her every day, but I’m so happy for her. She’s doing great.’

Off to college! The star recently revealed that she was ‘sick to her stomach’ when Apple went to college in September but is now ‘getting more and more used to it’ 

Martin and Paltrow were married for 11 years, after meeting backstage at a Coldplay concert in 2002. They welcomed their daughter in May 2004, followed by their son in April 2006.

On March 25, 2014, Gwyneth took to her lifestyle blog, Goop, to announce that she and Martin were splitting, and coined the term ‘conscious uncoupling.’ Their divorce was finalized in July 2016.

Paltrow then went on to marry American television writer Brad Falchuk, 51, in September 2018, after dating for four years.

Though her kids may not follow a strict Goop lifestyle, Paltrow, shared that she and her husband are ‘aligned’ when it comes to healthy living: ‘We’re kind of partners in crime in the wellness thing together. We walk, hydrate together and try to eat healthy food.’
