Grimes is showcasing her art – and offering part of her soul.
The 32-year-old Art Angels artist is debuting her first-ever fine art show at Gallery Platform Los Angeles (May 28 – June 3) and Maccarone Los Angeles (May 28 – August 31).

The art show, called Selling Out, will include “drawings, prints, photographs and conceptual pieces she’s made over the last decade,” according to Bloomberg.
“I made art 10, 12 years before I ever touched a keyboard,” she explained.
One particularly noteworthy piece is Selling Out, a “legal document whereby the purchaser acquires a percentage of Grimes’s soul.”
“I didn’t want anyone to buy it, so I said we should just make it $10 million and then it probably won’t sell,” she explained of the piece.
“The deeper we got with it, the more philosophically interesting it became. Also, I really wanted to collaborate with my lawyer on art. The idea of fantastical art in the form of legal documents just seems very intriguing to me,” she went on to say.
“With the current state of the world, do you want to put something up for $10 million?” she added, settling on a “best offer” price, allowing the public to decide.
