GoT’s Emilia Clarke slams photo-editing apps: ‘It’s bloody nonsense’

Emilia Clarke thinks photo-editing apps should be “banned” and she revealed the whole airbrush phenomenon is “not right.”

The Game of Thrones star discussed the rise of editing tools and the bad messages they send to young girls during an interview with Miss Vogue Magazine.

The 32-year-old spoke openly on how she “doesn’t agree” with the editing programmes and it’s all “bloody nonsense.”

She said: ”I struggle with the girl next door also editing their pictures. It’s not right. Where is that human interaction?”

“I think that the apps that make people airbrush themselves and look thinner or look clearer skinned should be banned.”

Emilia continued: I don’t think this s**t should be on the phone for young people. I do not agree with it, I do not like it, it doesn’t make me feel good.

”I think that we can find our inner beauty by looking inwards and not outwards. Seriously. Now we’re really screwed because we’ve got the editing, we’ve got the shading, we’ve got all that bloody nonsense.”

The London-born actress recently shared unseen photos from her stay in hospital after suffering a bleed on her brain.

Emilia was just 24 at the time when she experienced a brain aneurysm, and had just finished filming for the first series of Game of Thrones.

The star was immediately rushed to intensive care and spent five days in hospital before being discharged.

In 2013, she was admitted back to hospital for repeat surgery after she suffered a bleed on the brain that could have killed her.

Speaking to CBS Sunday Morning, Emilia confessed: “The first time it was difficult, with the second one I found it much harder to stay optimistic.”
