Gigi Hadid Decorated Her Kitchen With Tons of Dyed Dry Pasta and Fans Hate It

Gigi Hadid is one of those people who has experienced more success and fame at 25 years old than most people could dream of.

As an international supermodel, she’s traveled all over the world and regularly partied in a glamorous, famous social circle. To top it off, Hadid recently shared some exciting news with her (also gorgeous) boyfriend Zayn Malik.

But recently she showed the world a project she just completed, and for once her fans are not impressed.

Gigi Hadid and her famous and beautiful family

If you’re looking for a set of genes to produce unusually attractive offspring, you couldn’t do much better than the Hadid family. All three of the children, Gigi, Bella, and Anwar, are models, perhaps because they take after their mother, Yolanda Foster, who was also a model in her day. Gigi is the oldest of this set of stunning siblings.

Hadid started her modeling career at age 2, but she hit the pause button when school began. As soon as she graduated from high school in 2013, she went back to modeling. Within a year she appeared in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, and she was on her way. In 2016, Hadid was named International Model of the Year by the British Fashion Council.

Her glamorous career takes Hadid to exotic locations, rubbing elbows with the wealthy, famous, and powerful people of the fashion world. She’s friends with well-known stars like Kendall Jenner, and she’s attended many parties that ended up in the next day’s news.

But lately, Hadid has been staying closer to home, and she has a very good reason.

Gigi Hadid is nesting in a big way

In April, according to Vogue, Hadid announced that she’s expecting a baby with her boyfriend Malik. She’s chosen to keep the details of her pregnancy quiet, out of concern for the very serious problems the US is facing currently. But that doesn’t mean she’s not excited. She’s certainly been feathering her nest for this little one.

Hadid recently took to Instagram to show off her Manhattan apartment, and let people know that she’d been working hard to decorate it herself. “Spent all of last year designing and curating my passion project / dream spot,” she wrote, saying that she was “excited for the time I’ll get to spend enjoying all the special corners.”

And there are a lot of special corners. The apartment is a quirky mix of bright colors and offbeat accents, such as the bathroom walls that are papered with covers from the New Yorker magazine.

Natural materials such as unfinished wood, sisal rugs, and bold grained marble are found throughout the apartment. It’s clearly been a labor of love for Hadid, and she’s spent a lot of time and money getting it just right.

But not everyone loves it.

Fans can’t stand Gigi Hadid’s kitchen

While many people admire Hadid’s decorating skills, some of her fans were not so kind. One tweeted photos of Hadid’s kitchen cabinet facades that are filled with colorful dyed pasta, saying they’d “ruined” her day. People were quick to agree.

“It’s not even dyed well,” someone pointed out on Twitter. “I’ve made colored pasta for kids to play with that had more vibrant colors than that.”

“I too like the interior design element of food that looks like it’s spoiled,” one fan said sarcastically.

“Looks like she got bored during quarantine and decided to do some DIY. Man, 2020 got everybody,” another noted with a hint of sympathy.

Several people commented that it was odd for Hadid in particular to use so much pasta in her decorations. “When u can’t eat the pasta cause u a model.”

Fortunately for all the people who can’t stand Hadid’s decor, they don’t have to see it every day. And by the sounds of it, Hadid loves every inch of her apartment. Hopefully, as she and Malik settle in to welcome their baby, their unique and colorful surroundings will help them make a happy home.
