Former KISS member Vinnie Vincent is all set to play his first show in several years and is rumoured to be forming a new band of his own. However, he is facing some legal trouble as “he tried to trademark the makeup and to trademark ‘Vinnie Vincent Kiss’ the logo,” said Gene Simmons in an interview in Adelaide, Australia.
Speaking about his former bandmate, Simmons said that “Vinnie is a great guy, very talented, and maybe, in my view, his own worst enemy — in my opinion,” and went on to speak about the “failure mechanism.”
“…there are people who simply cannot handle when things are starting to go their way — success — so they torpedo it by making stupid decisions to make sure they don’t succeeed, so they can deal with that. Some people just can’t fathom being up there, so they turn to other stuff and torpedo it,” said Simmons, hinting at Vincent’s condition.
