Gemma Collins called by Leonardo DiCaprio after club saga: ‘He’s not to blame!’

Gemma Collins was seen leaving a London restaurant with fiancé Rami Hawash after revealing Leonardo DiCaprio apologised to her during a performance of her one woman show GC's Big Night Out at The Troxy on Monday 11 April.

The TV star, 41, is currently performing at venues up and down the country and has chosen a suitably spectacular array of costumes.

She wowed crowds at the venue in a very glitzy black dress complete with sequins, beading and feathers. She accessorised with large dark sunglasses and matched her dark pink manicure and lipstick.

Her blonde hair was tied back and she wore comfortable slider shoes and tights which incorporated a continuation of the sequins from her dress.

Renowned for her hilarious stories and always speaking her mind, Gemma uses her experiences of celebrity life to weave into a live show.

Talking about a night out in at private member's club in London, the former TOWIE star Gemma confessed: "I don't drink a lot. I am partial to a brandy and Diet Coke, that is my go-to drink. But, if anything when I've had a drink I go really quiet.

"I relax, I can chill, I'm in good company, Leonardo DiCaprio gets me thrown out of Annabel's but, do you know what, it's just a day in the life of The GC."

Her fans asked her to spill more details on what sounded like an amazing story.

Gemma, 41, explained: "Well I'm actually not blaming Leo. I went to a private members club in London and it's the sort of place where people go, have that picture for their Instagram in the toilet but they're sipping a glass of water all night."

"I was in there, I was sitting down with Rami and Leonardo was at the bar, he turned around, he looked at me and he smiled at me. "

Of course a smile from Leonardo DiCaprio was too much for Gemma to resist.

"Well, honey, what am I gonna do? I smiled at him back and went: 'Hi Leo' and it was just… I mean Leonardo DiCaprio I'm never gonna meet him again!"

Unfortunately the staff at the club weren't happy that Gemma greeted the Hollywood actor as she explained: "The next thing you know I'm getting a tap on the shoulder, 'Madam can you leave the club?'"

"And I'm like, 'What?!' And they're like: 'You've broken club policy' and I'm like: 'You do know I'm famous as well hun!"

Gemma shared that she was upset by the experience and felt victimised as she's a reality star, rather than a movie star.

"Forget it, I am one of the people that can pick up the bill in Annabel's and it just goes to show you it doesn't matter what you background is, where you're from, it's all about where you're going.

"And, I was so upset when I was asked to leave the club and I felt so awful in myself and I knew in daily life if someone's going to smile at me I'm always going to smile back, I'm always going to say hello."

Gemma explains Titanic star Leo tried to ensure things were smoothed over as she continued: "Leo actually got in contact, he got his people to call my people and it wasn't him that got me thrown out the club, it was the club!

"They didn't want reality stars in there and that is really sad, whatever your background, wherever you've come from we are all the same."

Recently Gemma shared the news that Rami had had an accident at work leaving him with a serious eye injury. The TV star made a rushed trip home from her tour in Glasgow to be with Rami as he underwent an operation.
