Gemma Collins’ boyfriend Arg responds to her baby demands – with bad news

Gemma Collins has made no secret of her desire to start her family, and her dream is even closer in her grasp following her recent Dancing on Ice weight loss.

But just days after Gemma, who skated for the final time on Sunday, joked she’s been given the medical all-clear to start trying for a baby , boyfriend James Argent has poured cold water on her plans.

Arg, 31, has told how they might have to rethink their family plans as The GC’s diva-ish Valentine’s Day demands have put a major dent in his bank balance.

Outlining Gemma’s requests for the big day, Arg listed to The Sun: "She wants a Burberry bag, she wants to stay in the White City Hotel, she wants to stay in the Dorchester, she wants 100 red roses, she wants fancy cards."

Arg also revealed that once V-Day was over he and Gemma are on a special mission to trim down this year.

The couple have both been yo-yo dieters in the past, but Arg says Gemma is well on her way to fitness after losing two and half stone during her time on Dancing on Ice.

The proud boyfriend said that he’d been so inspired by her transformation, that he’s even set himself a target of losing seven stone in ten months so that he can follow in her footsteps and compete in the 2020 version of the show.

After becoming the fifth celebrity to be eliminated from Dancing on Ice on Sunday, Gemma opened up about her real reason for signing up to the show.

She told the panel: "I was told I needed to lose weight [to have children] so that’s why I decided to do the show to better myself in the long term," the 38 year old told Loose Women.

"I’ve definitely struggled with it because a lot of my friends from TOWIE have gone on to have a baby and people would say to me, ‘When are you going to have one?’ I was told I would struggle to conceive."

And now she’s joyfully revealed that she’s been given the medical all-clear, making it a matter of when, not if, she gets knocked up – much to Arg’s delight.

"I got two other opinions and it turns out everything is going to be okay, I just needed to lose weight," she said.
