Gaz Beadle shares cryptic message before confirming split from Emma McVey

Gaz Beadle shared a cryptic message on Instagram about his now ex-wife Emma McVey, before the shock announcement that they had split after seven years together and two years of marriage.

The former Geordie Shore star confirmed their separation on Monday, 23 October, during a fan Q&A on Instagram.

Fans had started to wonder that something might be amiss between the pair, who share two children, after they failed to post about each other on social media since mid-September.

Gaz shared a snap of himself and Emma on holiday as he wrote: "Happy bday to the best mummy and wife see you soon don’t look a day over 20 love how you still get ID’d for a can of monster @emma_jane1392."

Fans were left confused by the post and his comment about Emma getting ID'd for an energy drink.

On Monday, Gaz made the shock admission that he and Emma, with whom he shares son Chester, 5, and daughter Primrose, 4, had split up three weeks ago.

In response to a question from a fan who asked if he and Emma were still in a relationship, Gaz said: "No we actually separated about 3 weeks ago we are still friends there is no bad blood or anything.

"We have worked out the best way of doing it for the kids which for me and Emma is always gunna be the most important thing.

"We both deserve to be happy as well as being parents," the TV star went on.

Gaz, whose real name is Gary, appeared on Geordie Shore from 2011 to 2017. He is also known for starring on Ex on the Beach, while Emma is a model and social media influencer.

The former couple were together for three years before getting engaged in 2019, later tying the knot in July 2021 in a special ceremony in Cheshire.

It comes as Gaz has regularly supported his wife through her medical issues, as Emma was rushed to hospital to undergo a major heart surgery nearly a year ago.

Emma was told that doctors would have to fix "three holes in her heart and tricuspid valve" – the valve that controls the flow of blood between the right atrium and the right ventricle.

Five months later, the star unfortunately had to be admitted into hospital once more, and Gaz regularly posted snaps with their two children as he coped with most of the childcare alone.
