While her former boyfriend G-Eazy was seen leaving Drake’s birthday party earlier this week looking sad and solo, Halsey took to social media to show that she is already getting on with things in the aftermath of their recent split. Halsey shared some appreciative words for “best friend” Lauren Jauregui, and then posted a suggestive photo of herself snuggling a Brazilian Instagram model.
Halsey tweeted some heart-felt words to Lauren in appreciation of Lauren’s new single, “Expectations.”
Lauren and Halsey had collaborated on the single “Strangers,” before Halsey invited Lauren to be her opening act on the North American leg of her Hopeless Fountain Kingdom tour. In interviews, Lauren has frequently cited the tour as an important personal growth experience that helped build her confidence as a solo performer. It was while touring that the two became close friends.
Later, Halsey posted a pic of herself embracing New York-based Brazilian Instagram model Ana Beatriz Boaretto. In the photo, the two women can be seen wearing matching Halloween spiderweb appliques on their faces. Halsey captioned the photo with four emojis.
It is not clear how well Halsey and Ana know one another, nor is it clear whether the relationship between the two is a friendship, a casual meeting, a hookup, something a little more serious … or just a photo op to make G-Eazy jealous. However, it does appear that the two have followed one another on social media for some time.
