Former ‘Project Runway’ host Heidi Klum says show ‘has been stale’ for years

Heidi Klum is not the biggest fan of what “Project Runway” has become, despite serving as the show’s host and judge since 2004.

The supermodel, 45, recently announced that she’s parting ways with the Bravo series to start her own fashion-focused show with fan favorite Tim Gunn. And although she had kind words for incoming “Project Runway” host Karlie Kloss and mentor Christian Siriano, Klum also threw some shade at the series she was part of for over a decade.

“I don’t think they need advice. We left ‘Project Runway’ in great hands, with Karlie [Kloss] and Christian Siriano, and I think they are going to do a great job,” she told People.

“I can see how they are going to change it, because it needed some change,” Klum added. “It has been stale for sixteen [seasons].”

The runway icon’s upcoming show “will be a fresh take in the reality space and will appeal to a global audience who are entertained by competition, storytelling, and authenticity,” according to a press release from Amazon Fashion. There will also be a shoppable experience for viewers.
