Emma Willis emerges as frontrunner to take Holly Willoughby’s seat on the This Morning sofa after making an ‘instant impact’ while hosting with Rylan Clark

Emma Willis has emerged as the bookies favorite to take Holly Willoughby’s presenting role on This Morning after impressing viewers with her consummate appearance on Monday’s show.

The seasoned presenter kicked off the week with Rylan Clark, another popular fixture,  five years after they worked to together on recently resurrected reality show Big Brother.

Emma, 47, previously hosted Big Brother during its previous incarnation on Channel 5, while Rylan, 35, fronted sister show Bit On The Side, and the pair have also hosted This Morning together in the past.

The star replaced Cat Deeley, who hosted the show alongside Rylan earlier this month in what has been a revolving carousel of part-time presenters since Willoughby’s abrupt departure in October.

And her undeniable popularity has been duly noted among bookmakers, with Ladbrokes giving her odds of 11/10 to claim the coveted presenting role full time.

Rylan, is currently presenting the show on a temporary rotating basis, and has joined stars including Cat, and Josie Gibson.

His high odds will be welcome news to Rylan who has had a tough year due to his mother’s ill health.

Rylan is currently a rotating presenter from Monday to Thursday alongside Josie Gibson, Craig Doyle, Rochelle Humes , and Ben Shepherd.

Multiple fans of Rylan have taken to social media to express that they think he would be perfect for the job.

After his joint appearance with Josie, one wrote: ‘Not watched this morning in ages….. but tuned in this week. LOVED IT!!! dear @thismorning here’s your permanent presenters!!’

It comes after Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby both dramatically quit the ITV show

However, the duo being permanent seems unlikely as Josie has just 50/1 odds of replacing Holly.

The favourite to replace Holly is Loose Women’s Christine Lampard.

Holly left the show last month ‘for the sake of her family’ after discovering she was the target of a foiled kidnap and murder plot and has since not been replaced permanently.

It came five months after Philip Schofield’s departure after his affair with a young male showrunner was made public, followed by claims of an increasingly strained relationship with his co-host
