Yet one of the more bizarre items she carries is a white fluffy rabbit hot water bottle to which Emma reveals she takes with her on planes and asks air stewards to fill with hot water.

She admits: ‘Yeah, I am 29 and I still carry something that looks like this. It’s a hot water bottle, my favourite thing to do when I get on a plane is to ask if they will fill this up for me. Hot water bottles, they’re the best!’

Emma, who in her work as a United Nations spokesperson has called for everyone to help the world achieve the UN’s 17 global goals – which include stopping climate change, also has a collection of environmentally friendly items in her bag.

Emma adds: ‘I don’t know if it’s going to break at some point, but it hasn’t yet!’

The star’s bag also includes tooth mousse, which protects the enamel on your teeth, Nutella dip, a make-up bag, her house keys with a whistle on them, rose water hydrating mist, sunglasses without a case, muscle rub, sunscreen and nail polish.

At the end of the video, Emma excitedly exclaims: ‘That’s it – ta-da! This is why they call me the bag lady!’

The bag reveal comes after the star admitted that she was glad she ’empowered’ people with her controversial remarks about being ‘self-partnered’.

The actress coined the term in an interview with British Vogue last month, and has since admitted she was taken aback by the ‘crazy’ reaction to the phrase, given it was merely a ‘throwaway comment’.

Speaking to E!’s The Rundown on Snapchat, the Little Women star said: ‘I’m so happy people feel empowered.

‘I literally said it as a throwaway comment thinking it would go no further.

Ta-dah! At the end of the video, Emma excitedly exclaims: ‘That’s it – ta-da! This is why they call me the bag lady!’

‘And then I woke up the next morning and my phone’s blowing up and I don’t know why and it’s all my friends messaging me being like, “self-partnered?” This thing’s gone crazy.’

The Little Women star also claimed being ‘self-partnered’ is not solely about being single.

‘It’s much more about your relationship with yourself and the feeling of not somehow being deficient in some way because you’re not with someone,’ she added.

Emma’s Harry Potter co-star Tom Felton, 32, was just one of her celebrity friends to back her corner.

‘Throwaway comment’: The bag reveal comes after the star admitted that she was glad she ’empowered’ people with her controversial remarks about being ‘self-partnered’ (pictured this month)

He told MailOnline: ‘I like it! I’m in the same category to be honest with you, quite happily self-partnered.

‘I think in this day and age it’s not a necessity to be with someone just for the sake of being with someone, so I like the idea of self-partnering. I think you need to love yourself before you can love anyone else, so that’s a start.’

Emma used the phrase when she admitted to Vogue magazine it took her a ‘long time’ to be comfortable with her single status.

She said: ‘I never believed the whole “I’m happy single” spiel. I was like, “This is totally spiel”.

‘It took me a long time, but I’m very happy [being single]. I call it being self-partnered.’

Emma’s new term seemed to be a nod towards Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin’s famous catchphrase ‘conscious uncoupling’ – used to describe their divorce when they split in 2014.

The Beauty and The Beast star was last romantically linked to Dominic Piazza, with the pair spotted on several outings in August. She also had a brief fling with former Oculus CEO Brendan Iribe, 40.

Emma previously dated Glee actor Chord Overstreet last year, but they split after six months.
