EastEnders star Lacey Turner takes Dusty out for her first walk… two weeks after giving birth to ‘miracle’ baby

She gave birth to her miracle baby, Dusty Violet, two weeks ago and EastEnders star Lacey Turner was picture taking her out for her first walk on Thursday. 

The 31-year-old appeared to be taking motherhood in her stride as she headed down the road with her precious bundle of joy. 

She looked lovely wearing a patterned dress under a denim shirt, heading off to pick up a Caffe Nero beverage on her travels.

Love: She headed to a local nail salon where she was seen cuddling her beloved child

Lacey, best known for playing Stacey Slater on the iconic BBC show, wore light coloured Adidas trainers for her outing. 

She hid her eyes behind dark sunglasses but showed no signs of fatigue and later headed into a nail salon, where she cradled her baby in her arms. 

The actress spoke about becoming a mother in the August issue of OK! magazine

Lacey welcomed her first child with husband Matt Kay following what she admits was a ‘lovely’ water birth at Watford General Hospital on Friday July 12.

During the interview with OK! the couple admitted that they surprised friends and family members by opting to name her her Dusty Violet. 

‘It wasn’t on our original list but we did an internet search for “pretty girl” names and we both said it at the same time!’ Lacey explained.

‘We’ve had mixed reactions, people think it’s either really cool or they don’t know what to say!’ 

Matt added: ‘The only other Dusty I know is Dusty Springfield. We do like Dusty Springfield but she wasn’t named after her!’   

The birth followed two years of difficulty for Turner and her husband, both 31, with the soap star suffering two devastating miscarriages within a seven month period. 

Lovely: Reflecting on the difficult journey that preceded the birth of her daughter, she said: ‘Dusty’s our little miracle – we call her Special Kay!’

Reflecting on the difficult journey that preceded the birth of her daughter, she said: ‘Dusty’s our little miracle – we call her Special Kay!’ 

Their first child weighed in at healthy 6lb 7oz following her birth, but Lacey and Matt were unaware of Dusty’s gender until she was finally placed in their arms after opting to keep it a surprise. 

‘I wouldn’t have minded either way but I always thought it was a girl,’ recalled the actress. ‘Also, it’s easier to dress her in the colours I like!’
