Dwyane Wade Celebrates Final Home Game By Colliding With Courtside John Legend and Chrissy Teigen

After 16 seasons, NBA great and celebrity husband Dwyane Wade called it a career last night, scoring 30 points as his Miami Heat took down the Philadelphia 76ers in the final home game of the Heat’s season.

Even outside of his relationship with actress Gabrielle Union (the pair wed in 2014), Wade has always been one of the league’s biggest stars both on the court—he’s a three time champion, having led a handful of legendary teams alongside other all-time talents like Shaquille O’Neal and LeBron James—and off of it, brushing shoulders with stars at a seemingly constant basis.

It’s only fitting, therefore, that his final home game included a literal brush with two of the biggest stars we’ve got. Charles Trainor Jr. of the Miami Herald caught a brilliant shot of Wade during Tuesday night’s game at the American Airlines Arena in Miami; he fell backwards after missing a shot, directly into the lap of one John Legend and one Chrissy Teigen, who perhaps you may have heard of?

That is true art. (We’re conferring with an art historian, but there’s something about the rule of thirds and and renaissance composition happening here, we just know it.) Look at the spatter of beverage flying in the air. Look at the reaction shots from the unwitting Legend and Teigen. Look at the lasting determination on D-Wade’s face. Perfection.

Let’s run that back one more time.

As Teigen tweeted, the scene had all the makings of a modern day renaissance painting.

Legend, he of 10 Grammy wins, was just happy that his collision course with Wade left a little bit of drink in his cup. “still got my drank,” he tweeted, including a video of the giddy pair.
