Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s daughter Simone has made her official WWE debut as Ava Raine. 

The 21-year-old made history when she appeared on WWE NXT becoming the company’s first ever fourth generation performer.

Little did fans know that she is the mysterious masked woman who’s been appearing in NXT for a while now as part of four-member group Schism.

On Wednesday’s episode of NXT, the mask was lifted and Ava Raine revealed herself on the show for the first time.

Ava said on the show: ‘The love and acceptance The Schism has given me defies any preconceived notions of who I’m supposed to be, This family completes me. I am Ava Raine.’

Her father Dwayne, grandfather Rocky Johnson, and great-grandfather ‘High Chief’ Peter Maivia have all been influential figures in the wrestling world.

NXT boss Shawn Michaels had teased that Simone was close to being ready for her debut.

He previously told Metro: ‘Maybe by the end of the year. But absolutely 2023 and certainly in the future. [She’s] really close.’

Back in May, Simone took to her social media platforms to announce her new professional wrestling name after signing to WWE two years ago.

Her debut was pushed back due to a few injuries that ended up requiring surgery and the rehabilitation that follows.

‘First of all, what an honor that my daughter wants to follow in my footsteps but more importantly, follow in my footsteps sounds cliché, but she actually wants to create and blaze her own path, which is so important,’ Dwayne said of daughter after her deal was signed in February 2020.

When making the announcement, Simone took to Instagram and posted a photo of herself wearing a grey WWE t-shirt, while flashing a prideful smile.

‘To the little girl who fell in love with wrestling & said “this will be my life one day”, this is for you. I’m humbled, grateful & ready to work. Let’s do this. @wwe @wwenxt,’ she captioned the post.

Simone is the first child of Dwayne and the only child of Dany Gracia, who’s a producer and founder of The Gracia Companies.

The Rock also has two other daughters – six-year-old Jasmine and four year-old Tiana – whom he shares with wife, Lauren Hashian.
