Duchess Kate Middleton Wears Princess Diana’s Tiara & Earrings to State Dinner

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (aka Kate Middleton) arrives for the State Banquet with Prince William at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday (October 23) in London, England.

Visiting for the event were King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands accompanied by Queen Maxima, who are currently staying at the Palace.

Duchess Kate accessorized her look by wearing the famous Lover’s Knot tiara, which belonged to Prince William‘s mom, the late Princess Diana. Her earrings reportedly belonged to the Princess as well.

The tiara is over one hundred years old and currently belongs to the Queen, though it once belonged to Queen Mary.

Her necklace is actually Queen Alexandra’s wedding necklace, and the necklace is over one century old!
