“Why can men go and have affairs and women can’t?” DVF asks Chopra.
Priyanka Chopra-Jonas just released her new YouTube Original special, "If I Could Tell You Just One Thing" — and DVF managed to steal the show.
The 30-minute episode centers around Priyanka sitting down with three strong women in the industry as each guest shares intimate stories, lessons learned along the way and "just one" piece of advice for Chopra herself.
"I feel like right now where I am is, I’m in my mid-thirties. I’m trying to figure out where I go next. What I do next. What’s the next phase of my life. I guess, getting married really made me think about, um, what the next chapter is," she says as she sits in hair and makeup in her Los Angeles home.
In the highly-anticipated vid, Nick Jonas’ wife chats with "wild child" Diane Von Furstenberg.
"It’s her world, and we’re just living in it," Chopra-Jonas says of the legendary fashion icon.
The two jump right into a conversation of DVF’s rise to fame. "At 22, I got married, I started a business and I had a child. And then I had another child the following year."
On why her first marriage failed Von Furstenberg says, "We were two children, really. We were playing adults. We were pretending we were so old."
"I wanted a man’s life in a woman’s body. That was my dream. Why can men go and have affairs and women can’t? Or they have to feel guilty about it," she says without a hint of humor.
"Did you have affairs?" Chopra asks.
"I did. A lot! And I’m very happy I did." she laughs.
After Priyanka models the original wrap dress from 1974 (and of course looks stunning), they "wrap" up their convo with DVF’s advice for the Bollywood starlet.
"Have children," she jokes.
On a more serious note, Von Furstenberg tells Chopra, "The most important relationship in life is the one you have with yourself. Period. There’s no other advice that’s more important than that."
"You don’t always feel on top of the game. But life is like that," she says.
Priyanka also sits down with Olympic gymnast Simone Biles who touches on being abused by Larry Nasser, and rapper-actor Awkwafina on her insane year following the success of "Crazy Rich Asians."
