Demi Rose’s mother Christine Mawby has passed away aged 64.

The model, 24, took to Instagram to reveal the tragic news about her mum, a former NHS wheelchair adviser, which comes just eight months after her beloved dad died. 

In her social media post shared on Wednesday, the devastated star penned: ‘Heaven gained an angel today. R.I.P Mommy’, with a heartbroken Emoji.

Demi shared supportive posts from her friends before also posting an image of two birds while adding the caption: ‘Saw these two love birds on set today. I hoped they were Mom & Dad paying a visit.’ 

Demi recently honoured her dad in a throwback snap on social media. In October, she was left distraught after revealing her beloved father Barrie has died aged 80.

The devastated model shared a photo of them together as she broke the news of his death in a heartbreaking post on Instagram.

She penned in the caption: ‘R.I.P Dad. You were the best father I could’ve ever wished for. The most caring, supportive, knowledgeable and loving man.’

The brunette beauty was catapulted to fame when she became romantically linked to Kylie Jenner’s ex, rapper Tyga.

Barrie previously gushed about Demi’s career, revealing that it was a three-year health and beauty course that changed her life.

‘She was always interested in beauty and a good-looking girl to boot,’ he told MailOnline in 2016. ‘I could always see it coming as she’s very ambitious.’

LA: The model, 24, was spotted shopping with her best friend, Hannah Rose Holland, in the American holiday destination 

Best friend: Her friend wore a snakeskin print shirt with a pair of matching wide-leg trousers, she styled the items of clothing with a pair of heeled mules


Denim: Demi wore a double denim ensemble with a pair of shorts and a cropped jacket, she completed her look with a pair of black sunglasses and heels

Christine added that Demi didn’t believe she had the looks to make it as a model. 

‘Demi Rose didn’t think she was quite good enough but she excelled in beauty school and it her made her ambitious to pursue her dreams,’ she said in 2016.

‘We don’t mind at all. She always said she wouldn’t do nudity not that we’ve told her not to, her pictures are racy and suggestive but she shows them all to us.

‘We’re right behind her. She’s such a beautiful girl, why shouldn’t she? If you’ve got it, flaunt it.’

Lunch: The two went on to grab lunch at Il Pastaio where they were seen having an animated conversation over their food 


Supportive: After Demi revealed her mother had passed away, she  shared several supportive posts from her friends with pal Hannah writing: ‘My Ab to my Fab soul sisters through the good & bad always.’ 

Strong: She added: ‘Strongest person I know! Love you immensely! SO proud to call you my bestie!’
