Love Island fans may have been saddened to hear that Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham’s fledgling relationship has bitten the dust, but one person who will be absolutely delighted to hear that Dani is single again is her dad Danny Dyer.
Danny and his wife Jo were reportedly anxious about the impact the high-profile relationship might have on their daughter’s career.
An un-named source told The Sun: “Her dad Danny and her family warned her early on that they didn’t think sticking by Jack was the best idea.
“They thought she’d be stronger alone.”
Danny and Jo are said to have advised their daughter against continuing her relationship with Jack but Dani “genuinely loved him and hoped it was forever.”
It’s notable that Jack hasn’t been pictured with Danny or any other members of the family since October.
Jack broke cover briefly when he appeared in a recorded message on today’s Loose Women to support an appearance from his Love Island mate Niall Aslam but said nothing about the state of affairs between Danni and himself.
Niall expressed regret that the couple had split, saying: "I’m gutted for them. I thought they were a great couple…
“… I thought they were the real deal.”
Dani announced the end of their romance on Instagram, saying "Jack and I have sadly decided to part ways.
“It’s been an incredible six months and we will always have a place in our hearts for each other, but we’ve sadly come to the realisation that it’s not meant to be long term.
"We both plan to stay friends. I hope you’ll all understand. Love Dani x.”
However Dani, 22, then deleted the post before it expired, throwing her decision into some doubt.
Dani’s acting career continues, she’ll next one seen in British horror movie 031 in 2019 and she has reportedly received a number of offers from TV production companies.
