Dan Walker, 44, revealed he was “ambushed with cake” at his favourite Indian restaurant during a reunion with some of his Strictly Come Dancing co-stars. The BBC Breakfast star and his pro partner on the show Nadiya Bychkova, were gifted with a cake while they dined at the Prithiraj restaurant in Sheffield.
Oh… I forgot to say… thanks for the cake too

Taking to Instagram, Dan shared a group picture alongside his co-stars Rhys Stephenson, Tilly Ramsay, Nikita Kuzmin, Janette Manrara, Kai Widdrington, and judge Craig Revel Horwood.
He captioned the post: “What a lovely treat to take some of the #Strictly family out for a curry with my family.
“We had a great night at @prithiraj_restaurant – where we took @nadiyabychkova during the series.

“Thanks to Sobuj and his team for being so kind and making the most amazing food for everyone.”
He added: “Also Janette taught our son some ballroom.
“Look forward to seeing you at the arena on Wednesday.”
The star also took a moment to thank the curry house personally, after they brought out a surprise cake for both him and Nadiya.
“Oh… I forgot to say… thanks for the cake too,” Dan beamed.
“So kind of you @prithiraj_restaurant.
“By the way… @nadiyabychkova and I did share it around #AmbushedByACake,” he added cheekily.
He was referencing the reports that Prime Minister Boris Johnson was “ambushed with a cake” at his birthday gathering held in Downing Street during lockdown.
It comes as the Government came under intense scrutiny after the ‘Partygate’ scandal caused public outrage across the county.
Northern Ireland minister Conor Burns, told Channel 4 News last week that the gathering at Number 10 was not a “premeditated” party.
He went on to explain that the PM was working in the room before he was presented with a birthday cake by staff members.
Burns told the channel: “It was not a premeditated, organised party.
“He was, in a sense, ambushed with a cake.
“They came to his office with a cake, they sang happy birthday, he was there for 10 minutes.
“I don’t think most people looking at that at home would characterise that as a party.”
