Dad furious after 10-year-old son is kicked out of Tottenham vs PSV at Wembley

A furious dad revealed he had never seen his son cry so much after he was kicked out of Wembley for wearing a PSV Eindhoven shirt.

Peter Dansen and son Guus, 10, were attempting to gain access to a home section of the ground along with one of Guus’ friends and his father for the Champions League clash against Tottenham.

Having failed to acquire tickets in the away end, they purchased seats in another area of the stadium, with plenty still available.

However, having made the trip to London, Guus was denied witnessing what would have been his first away fixture after "heavy-handed" stewards denied them entry into Wembley.

Dad Peter said he offered to put another shirt on Guus so they could watch the game, but security would not allow it.

"I have never seen him cry so much before," Peter said.

Guus’ mother, Kirsten, added: "That was rather heavy-handed. Guus is only a small, thin boy. He was very much overwhelmed by it.

"They were kicked out like they were a couple of hooligans."

Peter added that it was a night he and his son would never forget, with both parents expressing their surprise the duo were refused entry because there "seemed to be PSV fans wearing their jerseys in between the home fans".

Guus and Peter were subsequently forced to watch the match in a pub with Guus’ friend and his father.

PSV took a second-minute lead of the Champions League group stage fixture when Luuk De Jong headed home from a corner.

They held on to the 1-0 lead for the majority of the game but Harry Kane struck twice in the second half to seal a comeback win for Tottenham and keep alive their hopes of progression to the last 16.

Spurs host Inter in their next continental clash while PSV face Barcelona in Eindhoven.
